Palm Pre Smartphone - Worth it?
Palm’s new Pre smartphone is quite powerful. Just hitting the shelves, it has a nice touch screen, a pull-out keyboard and an innovative operating system that can manage various applications simultaneously.
But in this day full of iPhones and Blackberries, the Smartphone will need much more than a sleek design.
These days, all that matters is the apps.
Palm needs to get a team of developers to focus solely developing apps.
So far, Palm is off to a slow start. Palm’s App Catalog has just a few dozen apps, even as Apple boasts that iPhone users can download 50,000 apps that do everything from receiving baseball videocasts to unlocking a rental car.
